Goethe-Zentrum Hyderabad presents Workshop by Astad Deboo Dance Company

at Vidyaranya High School “green Gates”, Opp. The Secretariat, Hyderabad

Astad Deboo, a well-known dancer, choreographer and trainer, conducts workshops with children in the morning and later in the evening for dance learners giving a feel of different Indian classical dance forms like Kathak, Kathakali and Indian contemporary dance.

Timings: Morning for Children 10.30 to 12.00
Evening for Adults 4.30 to 6.30

About the workshop:

for the lec dem I will talk about contemporary dance and a brief glimpse of my style and then I will get the  boys to demonstrate and also tell the audience about their journey and then will throw open to questions and answers.

As for the workshop  as I have been trained in the  kathak and kathakali dance form alongside having studied dance in the west and then spending time with choreographers pina bausch, alsion chase and spending time in japan and indonesia one has evolved a vocabulary of movements which is very very indiviualistic and yet indian in its originpreferably want dancers also would like folding chairs as a part of the workshop , each participant must have a folding chair.

It is a dance and workshop interpreting Tagore.
