Fellowship to study one semester in Architecture at INSA, Strasbourg

A golden opportunity for qualified architects to study one semester of architecture degree at INSA Strasbourg – the only school in France to offer a degree that combines Architecture and Engineering.

Highlights of the Fellowship:

  • Two winning candidates will be chosen based on merit by a jury.
  • The students will travel to France in August 2017 to join the second semester of the fourth year of studies at INSA Strasbourg.
  • The students must select courses worth at least 20 Credits and complete the semester by January 2018.
  • The students will be provided with the transcript of their performance at the end of the semester.
  • The students will be provided with return airfare to France (Delhi to Paris) and a monthly stipend of 615 Euros during their stay in France.
  • Paid accommodation may be provided by the University in its dormitories at its discretion.

Requirements of the Fellowship:

  • Applicants must hold a Bachelors / Masters degree in Architecture from an AICTE recognised institute affiliated to a UGC recognised University.
  • The candidates must have Intermediate / Advanced knowledge of the French language corresponding to at least A2 / B1 level as per CEFR.
  • Candidate must be the holder of a valid passport and available to travel to France on a short notice.

Criterion of Selection:
Candidates will be shortlisted for selection by the jury purely on merit. The following parameters may be used.

  • Outstanding academic performance and portfolio.
  • Well thought out mobility project with clearly expressed motivations.
  • Pedagogical compatibility between the Indian home institution and INSA Strasbourg.

Terms & Conditions:

  • Applicants must hold a Bachelors / Masters degree in Architecture from an AICTE recognised institute affiliated to a UGC recognised University.
  • The last date of submission of forms is Sunday 30th April 2017 – 11:59 PM.
  • Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 – 27 years of age as on 1-Jan-2017. (Born between 1-Jan-1990 & 1-Jan-1999)
  • This competition is open to resident citizens of India only.
  • The decision of the organisers will be final and binding in all matters.

Application & Selection Process:

  • The application process is an online form driven process.
  • An automatic acknowledgement is sent for every form entry.
  • Upon acceptance of the application, and Applicant-ID will be issued to the candidate and featured in the list of accepted candidates on the website.
  • Upon short-listing, candidates may be asked to provide attested copies of documents for verification.
  • Upon finalisation of winners, candidates will be asked to travel to New Delhi at their cost for a personal interview.
  • Winners will be declared on the online and print media. Winners will be contacted individually by the Krishnakriti Foundation on the communication details submitted by the candidate.

Note: The vast majority of courses in France are offered in the French language. It is advisable that candidates acquire functional knowledge of the language equal to 200 Hours of French Language Classes before embarking on the fellowship.

Courses in the French language are offered by Alliance Francaise in 12 major cities of India (Delhi, Bombay, Calcutta, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Pondicherry, Trivandrum, Bhopal).
